Roll of Honor

  In Memoriam

Unfortunately, Box Car Peggers loses members to death, but they are never forgotten. Here are the players we have lost since the club was founded:

  • 12/19/11: Gordon Brown, founder and president

  Club Champions

Each year, Box Car Peggers and ACC give an award to the club member who scores the most nationally-accepted Grassroots points. Here are our Club Champions:

  • 2009-2010: Gordon Brown
  • 2010-2011: MaryBernadette Wilcox

Individual Awards

There are certain things to which all Tournament Players strive. A winning card is, of course, one of those things, but there are three unique events that are rare in Grassroots play:

  1. A "Grand Slam" -- Winning all nine games for the evening
  2. A "Perfect" hand -- 29 points
  3. A "Nearly Perfect" hand -- 28 points

Box Car Peggers gives an award for the achievement of any of these events. During the Tournament Season, the ACC also awards a certificate.

Following are lists of all players scoring one of these infrequent events in play at Box Car Peggers:
